Party Animal

You would think with a toddler I would party less, but this year I’ve never hosted so many parties in my life! Now granted, these parties involve lots of babies, preparing for babies, or wedding showers, but I’ve still managed to sneak in day drinking for 2 of them!

This year I have thrown a 1 year old birthday party for my little one, a wedding (for me! (and my husband)), a wedding shower, and two baby showers.  What can I say, I love to party.

I thought I would upload some highlights of the parties so that I could help inspire you to throw a party yourself.  I am a firm believer that with some creativity you can throw a fantastic (fun, chic, adorable) party without breaking the bank. I have learned how to do a lot of things myself to help with cost savings (paper poms, décor, appetizers, and party food), and the sense of accomplishment afterwards is addicting. I think that’s why I keep signing up to throw more parties!
I hope you enjoy the photos, let me know if you have any questions or tips for me. :)

The Little Man Mustache Bash (1 year old boy birthday)

I made a banner with his pictures and drew mustaches on them.

Mustache cupcakes!

Nautical Bridal Shower

Gorgeous cake made by the lovely and talented Kristen!

Homemade blue velvet cupcakes in a jar favors!

The made of honor found awesome fabrics and made these table runners.

Silver and pink baby shower

A book for the mommy-to-be for guests to sign and give advice or well wishes.

I made the poms and banner so she could use them in the nursery!

Purple baby shower

I by no means did everything myself. I always had the help of wonderful friends and family. Banners and poms are so easy and fun to make I make them for almost every party. If anyone is interested in the party foods that were served just let me know! I love sharing easy, delicious and affordable party recipes.

  1. Hey Judy!
You know you are my inspiration in life right?! Lol.
Quick question, how did you hang the pons from the ceiling? And the ones affixed to the wall, are they just taped?
Of course I'd love those party food recipes for my binder.

  2. Shaday,

haha! I used a thumbtack and string. To put them on the wall I just used tape. :) I will create a post on party foods in the near future! :)
